What is hydroseeding?

A slurry of seed, mulch, fertilizer, water, and a tackifier agent sprayed directly onto prepared soil - better than dry seeding, cheaper than sod, and built to hold on slopes and difficult terrain.

  • Ideal for slopes, drainage areas, bare construction sites, or heavily eroded areas where traditional seeding would wash away.

  • The wood mulch binder locks moisture around seeds for consistent, even germination while also acting as a barrier to protect against wildlife, wind, and foot traffic.

  • With average germination in 7-10 days, and significant growth within 3-4 weeks, customers can expect a full lawn in as little as 8 weeks!

  • Significantly cheaper than sod - customers save thousands of dollars by hydroseeding instead of sodding. Use our free lawn calculator to estimate your cost.

What is the process?

1

Prep

Existing vegetation is removed and the soil is tilled to create a loose medium for proper seed germination. Large rocks and debris are cleared to ensure a clean slate.

2

Application

Your chosen grass seed is mixed into our slurry and sprayed via a 250ft hose or cannon with specialized nozzles for efficient, uniform coverage - even on slopes.

3

Growth & Results

Water regularly following our aftercare guide. Expect germination within 7–10 days and a lush, established lawn in as few as 4–8 weeks.
